On Friday 10 July, Sophia was delighted to meet with members of the General Council of the Society of the Sacred Heart during their visit to Australia. The General Council delegation included Sr Claire Castaing rscj, Superior General, and Councillors, Sr Sheila Smith rscj and Sr Ananda Amritmahal rscj.
The meeting provided a valuable moment of connection as we reflected together on the establishment of the new North East Asia, Australia and New Zealand (NEANZ) Province, the Mission of the Society in our region, and the role Sophia plays.
Our conversation highlighted the importance of synodality and walking together as Partners in Mission.
While in Australia, the General Council took the opportunity to visit Stuartholme in Brisbane, where this photo was taken with several members of Stuartholme’s senior leadership team and with the NEANZ Provincial Sr Anne Corry rscj and Provincial Councillor Sr Lynette Toohey.
