‘Wonderful Wisdom’
Mother, you are most wonderful, revealing in this image the precious nature of human intelligence. An intelligence which unravels the profound depth of humanity and there finds God; a superior intelligence of simplicity and truth; an intellect drawing strength from within, silently discovering the algorithm of the unconditional love of God for humanity; a mind nurtured on scripture; the silent scent of the lily drawing you into the very fabric of creation; a serenity of time and space in the house of God; a sensitivity and regard for the world beyond the open doors; an attention to the duty at hand, as a future gift of your generosity and skill.
Give us this wisdom, this deep respect for human intelligence which is our dignity and freedom, our way of justice and peace, and our principal means of discovering the Heart of your Son and making His love known to all peoples who share with us this natural human sense of love, empathy and compassion.
Amen.
Happy Feast Day
